2011 News.:

TEST 01, May 16th saw the shake down of the new race car, which was successful, times on the day were not as important as systems checking, fluid leak checking, tyre wear observations, geometry settings, but we did 60 laps of the GP circuit, with no problems.. not looking for times today, just finding the brakes, tyres, leaks and safety systems checking.. but logging showed a 2:40".
TEST02, June 20th, test day report: starting slowly in the morning to make sure we had got the cooler temperature switch working on the diff, 2 laps in and the system came on @85c, so that's 1 problem out of the way, setting up the data loggers proved an interesting experiment, race technology logger had no GPS for the digital dash so no speed, no gears, and no lap timing available, the Vbox worked well and we got some nice movies but the camera angle showed more of the car and not enough of the road..! ramping up the tyre and brake temps, which was difficult in the traffic and building up pace, on the last session of the day, and carrying a 100kg of passenger, and held up in 4 corners, we got down to a best of 2:32.5"
TEST03, 08.08.2011 test day, after some reworks we had the chance to back to back test the car with a professional driver in it, and we saw the 1st 2:20 with a 2:29.90, driver development got me to within 2.5s on the day, and with best sector times getting us to within 1.6s of the pro driver, great progress.. now to get the car faster.. !
TEST04, 30.08.2011.. some rear damper adjustments, and rear wing stabiliser help glue the rear of the car down, homework studying the pro lines on 3 corners resulted in a 2:28.0 with no traffic holding us up this time, I made 1 small hairpin error resulting in a slide which cost me 1 second off the power, but great progress, and well into the 2:20's now..

Nov 2011, the car has now retired to the barn for the winter for some preventative maintenance.

Our target lap times for 2012 are consistent mid 2:20's, then take some weight off the car to get down to 2:20 later in the season.
